The Friends of Penn Treaty Park held a Hal­loween Hoedown last week, giv­ing out 410 pump­kins, plenty of candy and de­li­cious gala apples. Check out the events be­low for more fam­ily friendly Hal­loween fun this week.

Brides­burg Hal­loween Con­test

A Hal­loween Con­test for boys and girls 10 and un­der with trophies, door prizes and treats will take place Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. sharp at the Brides­burg Rec Cen­ter, 4625 Rich­mond St.

Luther­an Set­tle­ment Hal­loween Party

HAL­LOWEEN PARTY at Luther­an Set­tle­ment House on Fri­day, Oct. 28. Prizes will be awar­ded for most ori­gin­al and fun­ni­est cos­tume. 3rd An­nu­al Adaire Haunted School

On Fri., Oct. 28, Adaire School will be host­ing a haunted house event for Hal­loween from 6-8:30 p.m.

Come tour the haunted hall­ways and vis­it with the gouls and gob­lins of Adaire School. End your tour with mu­sic and treats in the gym. We are look­ing for dona­tions of drinks, snacks, make-up, dec­or­a­tions and most of all time. Cost is just $5 for adults and $3 for chil­dren and in­cludes the tour and snacks. Nativ­ity Hal­loween Party

Kids grades K-8 are in­vited to the Witches and Wiz­ards Hal­loween Party on Fri., Oct. 28 at the Nativ­ity Beacon Cen­ter/OL­HC church hall, 2420 Al­legheny Ave. Hot dogs, chips and witches brew will be served! $5 per tick­et or $10 per fam­ily. Hal­loween Horse Rid­ing

Riders of the Park: Pennypack, a horse-rid­ing or­gan­iz­a­tion, in­vites the pub­lic to a Hal­loween show on Sat­urday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 8600 Krewstown Road.

Classes will be offered for $5 each, or sev­en for $25.

The event will also in­clude a flea mar­ket and the sale of horse-rid­ing equip­ment. Tables cost $10 each.

Half of the pro­ceeds go to the Phil­adelphia Po­lice De­part­ment moun­ted unit.
