Crime Log: Oct. 1 – 14

As reported by Northeast Detectives. Does not include homicides, sexual assaults, narcotics offenses or other specific crimes investigated by special police units. All locations listed by block, not by exact address.

2nd Police District

There were 10 robberies, most of which took place on the street. Shamir Miller, 23, was arrested Oct. 9 after a robbery at 7100 Rising Sun Ave. on Oct. 6. Other robberies on the street took place at 700 E. Godfrey Ave. (Oct. 11), 1600 Magee Ave. (Oct. 11), 6600 Castor Ave. (Oct. 12), Castor Avenue and Benner Street (Oct. 2), Summerdale Avenue and Kerper Street (Oct. 4), 7100 Rising Sun Ave. (Oct. 6), 1600 Hellerman St. (Oct. 7) and 7300 Oxford Ave. (Oct. 12). A private residence at 1200 Magee Ave. was robbed with a handgun Oct. 1.

There were nine aggravated assaults, which yielded four arrests. Carly Lipper, 31, was arrested following a domestic assault at a private residence at 800 Scattergood St. on Oct. 7, and Michael Derose, 64, was arrested Oct. 12 following a domestic assault at a private residence Oct 12. Edviu Leonardo, 41, was arrested Oct. 14 after an assault at a private residence at 6700 Oakland St., and other assaults at private residences took place at 7100 Horrocks St. on Oct. 6 and at 800 Longshore Ave. on Oct. 7. Julia Mann, 30, was arrested Oct. 3 following an assault involving a knife on the street at 300 Levick St. Three assaults involving handguns took place on the street at 800 Marcella St. (Oct. 5), 6800 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 7) and 200 Devereaux Ave. (Oct. 8).

There were seven burglaries, most of which targeted private residences. Rhonda Brookin, 37, was arrested Oct. 5 following a burglary at a private residence at 6700 Eastwood St. on Oct. 1. Other private residences were burglarized at 7600 Rising Sun Ave. (Oct. 6), 1500 Hellerman St. (Oct. 7), 6700 Leonard St. (Oct. 9) and 900 Brill St. (Oct. 1). There were also two burglaries at an apartment house at 6500 Everett Ave. (Oct. 1) and an auto parts store at 7300 Oxford Ave. (Oct. 5).

There were 59 thefts, which targeted 30 vehicles (including one stolen vehicle tag), 19 businesses, five street thefts, three private residences, a bicycle and a nightclub. Seven arrests were made. In addition, 22 vehicles were reported stolen, 14 of which have been recovered. One arrest was made.

7th Police District

Both of the robberies took place on the street, at Solly and Bustleton avenues (Oct. 2), which resulted in an arrest, and 1200 Byberry Road (Oct. 8).

Each of the five aggravated assaults took place on the street. Lisa Ann Hoffer, 38, was arrested following two assaults on police officers at 1900 Ambassador St. (Oct. 9). An assault involving a handgun took place on the street at 9300 Jamison Ave. (Oct. 6), and an assault involving a weapon took place at the intersection of Red Lion Road and Northeast Avenue (Oct. 3). An assault at 9900 Roosevelt Blvd. on Oct. 8 resulted in an arrest.

There were six burglaries and two attempts, most of which targeted private residences. Terrance Richards, 51, was arrested Oct. 13 following a burglary at a private residence at 9600 Hilspach St., and Lawrence McDade, 34, was arrested Oct. 6 following a burglary attempt at a private residence at 9200 Grace Lane. Other burglaries of private residences took place at 11000 Bustleton Ave. (Oct. 13), 8100 Ferndale St. (Oct. 4) and an attempt at 9400 Hilspach St. (Oct. 5). The rest took place at an apartment house at 13100 Bustleton Ave. (Oct. 5), a drug store at 1900 Grant Ave. (Oct. 6) and an office building at 13400 Damar Drive (Oct. 10).

There were 36 thefts, which targeted 14 vehicles (including a stolen vehicle tag), 12 businesses, three street thefts, a private residence, a bicycle, a hotel, a public school, a second-hand dealer and at two unspecified locations. Five arrests were made. In addition, three vehicles were reported stolen, two of which have been recovered.

8th Police District

There were four robberies. Rahsean Casey, 19, was arrested Oct. 6 following a vehicle robbery involving a handgun. Other robberies took place on the street at 2100 Fuller St. (Oct. 7) involving a handgun, a chain store at 3300 Grant Ave. (Oct. 4) and a private residence at 12800 McCarthy Circle (Oct. 11).

Both aggravated assaults resulted in arrests. Daryl Harden, 40, was arrested Oct. 14 following an assault on the street at 9100 Roosevelt Blvd., and Zulma Rosario, 52, was arrested Oct. 2 following an instance of child abuse at a private residence at 8800 Lister St.

Of the two burglaries, one took place at a private residence at 9000 Eastview Road (Oct. 2), and the second took place at a store at 2500 Grant Ave. (Oct. 2).

There were 32 thefts, which targeted 19 businesses, six vehicles (including two stolen vehicle tags), four street thefts, a private residence, a parking lot and an athletic field or playground. Three arrests were made. In addition, eight vehicles were reported stolen, five of which have been recovered. One arrest was made.

15th Police District

Almost all of the 11 robberies took place on the street. Incidents that involved handguns took place at 7500 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 3), 1600 Allengrove St. (Oct. 6), Marsden and Hellerman streets (Oct. 8), 5000 Penn St. (Oct. 12), 1600 Womrath St. (Oct. 13) and a vehicle robbery at 1300 Dyre St. (Oct. 10). Incidents that did not involve a weapon took place at 1600 Bridge St. (Oct. 3), 3200 Ryan Ave. (Oct. 6), 5200 Harbison Ave. (Oct. 14) and a bank robbery at 6600 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 2). Azeice Miller, 19, was arrested Oct. 1 following a robbery on the street at 5300 Frankford Ave.

There were 29 aggravated assaults, which yielded 11 arrests. Assaults that happened on the street included domestic assaults at 7900 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 6) and 3400 Ryan Ave. (Oct. 10). Assaults involving handguns on the street took place at 4200 Tackawanna St. (Oct. 6), Church Street and Frankford Avenue (Oct. 9, Michael Overby, 34), 4700 Griscom St. (Oct. 9), 6800 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 10, Shadeed Kiah-El, 36), 4700 Griscom St. (Oct. 10) and 4600 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 14). Assaults on the street involving knives or other weapons took place at 4300 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 9, Timothy Tisdale, 49), 7900 Erdrick St. (Oct. 13), twice at 4000 Higbee St. (Oct. 1), Torresdale and Longshore avenues (Oct. 1, Carlos Parrilla Jr., 20, and Shane Pratt, 20), 1500 Pratt St. (Oct. 2), 4500 Tackawanna St. (Oct. 9), 7400 Rowland Ave. (Oct. 12), 2500 Church St. (Oct. 14, Walter Moss, 29), 4400 Edgemont St. (Oct. 7) and Friendship and Sackett streets (Oct. 9). Domestic assaults that took place at private residences happened at 5200 Duffield St. (Oct. 1, Jaylynn Swope, 22), 6000 Oakland St. (Oct. 6), 1900 Fillmore Place (Oct. 9, Maria Torres, 36), 6400 Marsden St. (Oct. 9), 1100 Kenwyn St. (Oct. 14, Omar Bostic, 37), 3200 Wellington St. (Oct. 10, Johanssy Payano-Acosta, 26) and 2100 Stevens Road (Oct. 9). Other assaults that took place at private residences happened at 4300 Shelmire Ave. (Oct. 8, Stephan Fern, 49) and 5200 Jackson St. (Oct. 11). An aggravated assault at a private school at 6800 Cottage St. took place Oct. 8.

There were 19 burglaries, most of which targeted private residences. These happened at 3500 Tudor St. (Oct. 1), 3500 Wellington St. (Oct. 2), 4600 Josephine St. (Oct. 6, Roddy Moore, 53), 4500 Hedge St. (Oct. 3), 6100 Charles St. (Oct. 8), twice at 6600 Ditman St. (Oct. 4, Kenith Karuza, 62), 5000 Duffield St. (Oct. 8), 1300 Arrott St. (Oct. 9), 4400 Decatur St. (Oct. 12), 3200 Fanshawe St. (Oct. 14), 6300 Glenloch St. (Oct. 11) and 6600 Edmund St. (Oct. 5). The rest took place at chain stores at 4300 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 1) and 1400 Adams Ave. (Oct. 9), a commercial garage at Adams and Ramona avenues (Oct. 9), an office building at 4800 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 9) and twice at unlisted locations at 4900 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 14).

There were 105 thefts, which targeted 52 vehicles (including seven stolen vehicle tags), 25 street thefts (including a pickpocketing), 21 businesses, four private residences, an apartment house, a bicycle and a public school. Eight arrests were made. In addition, 40 vehicles were stolen, 25 of which have been recovered. Five arrests were made. ••
