In other football playoff action:

Frank­ford, 37; Cent­ral, 12: Frank­ford High School downed Cent­ral in the Pub­lic League semi­finals on Sat­urday af­ter­noon, earn­ing a place in the coveted cham­pi­on­ship game.

Quar­ter­back Tim Di­Gior­gio con­nec­ted with all the right people, com­plet­ing 13 of 18 at­tempts for 226 yards and three touch­downs for the vic­tory. 

Ju­ni­or wide re­ceiv­er Renz Compton snagged three of those passes for 58 yards and a touch­down. He leads the Pi­on­eers in scor­ing with eight touch­downs. 

Seni­or wide re­ceiv­er Mar­quan Scott, who had 112 yards, and tight end Aaron Al­lis­on scored TDs. Kelly John­son rushed for 113 yards and a touch­down, bring­ing his sea­son tally to a team-high 418 yards. Seni­or Mike Brown rushed for 19 yards and a touch­down. 

Kick­er Eric Salguero was five-for-five with ex­tra-point kicks, ad­van­cing his sea­son total to 15.  

Frank­ford — which fin­ished the reg­u­lar sea­son in first place — con­tin­ued its un­defeated re­cord in the Pub­lic League Gold Di­vi­sion (7-2 over­all). 

The Pi­on­eers are slated to face George Wash­ing­ton High School in the Pub­lic League cham­pi­on­ship on Sat­urday at 4 p.m. 

LaS­alle, 26; Fath­er Judge, 16: Fath­er Judge High School’s dreams of cham­pi­on­ship glory were cut short with a bru­tal loss to LaS­alle in the Cath­ol­ic League semi­finals on Nov. 4. 

Seni­or quar­ter­back Rob Daniels went 8-for-17 for 70 yards and one TD. Run­ning back Raul Quinones rushed for 139 yards and a touch­down. Ju­ni­or tight end Al­bi Ar­apag caught three passes for 32 yards and his first touch­down of the sea­son. 

Sopho­more kick­er Con­nor Fo­ley kicked a field goal and an ex­tra point.

Fath­er Judge fin­ished 2-2 in the Cath­ol­ic League Class AAAA (6-4 over­all), but their sea­son isn’t over just yet. The Cru­saders will face Ab­ra­ham Lin­coln High School in their an­nu­al Thanks­giv­ing Day foot­ball game. ••
