Frankford, 37; Central, 12: Frankford High School downed Central in the Public League semifinals on Saturday afternoon, earning a place in the coveted championship game.

Quarterback Tim DiGiorgio connected with all the right people, completing 13 of 18 attempts for 226 yards and three touchdowns for the victory.

Junior wide receiver Renz Compton snagged three of those passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. He leads the Pioneers in scoring with eight touchdowns.

Senior wide receiver Marquan Scott, who had 112 yards, and tight end Aaron Allison scored TDs. Kelly Johnson rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown, bringing his season tally to a team-high 418 yards. Senior Mike Brown rushed for 19 yards and a touchdown.

Kicker Eric Salguero was five-for-five with extra-point kicks, advancing his season total to 15.

Frankford — which finished the regular season in first place — continued its undefeated record in the Public League Gold Division (7–2 overall).

The Pioneers are slated to face George Washington High School in the Public League championship on Saturday at 4 p.m.

LaSalle, 26; Father Judge, 16: Father Judge High School’s dreams of championship glory were cut short with a brutal loss to LaSalle in the Catholic League semifinals on Nov. 4.

Senior quarterback Rob Daniels went 8-for-17 for 70 yards and one TD. Running back Raul Quinones rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown. Junior tight end Albi Arapag caught three passes for 32 yards and his first touchdown of the season.

Sophomore kicker Connor Foley kicked a field goal and an extra point.

Father Judge finished 2–2 in the Catholic League Class AAAA (6–4 overall), but their season isn’t over just yet. The Crusaders will face Abraham Lincoln High School in their annual Thanksgiving Day football game. ••
