Welcome home, soldier!

U.S. Army PFC Mark Wild­smith em­braces his grand­moth­er Helene Wild­smith as his aunt Bar­bra Poli­cino looks on with a smile. Vo­lun­teers from a Hero’s Wel­come and War­ri­or Watch met Wild­smith at the Phil­adelphia In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port and es­cor­ted him to his home in North East Phil­adelphia. Army Pfc. Mark Wild­smith greets his grand­moth­er, Helene Wild­smith, upon ar­riv­ing at his Rhawn­hurst home on Fri­day fol­low­ing his de­ploy­ment in Afgh­anistan. Wild­smith, 20, a mem­ber of the 4th In­fantry Di­vi­sion, I-66 Raid­er Bri­gade at Fort Car­son, Colo., went to Afgh­anistan last Oc­to­ber. Upon his ar­rival at Phil­adelphia In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port, mem­bers of the groups A Hero’s Wel­come and War­ri­or’s Watch led a wel­com­ing es­cort that ac­com­pan­ied the sol­dier to his home, where he was cheered by fam­ily and neigh­bors.
