Herbie will spice up your life

Herbie the Love Bug is a 4-year-old tuxedo male cat available for adoption at the Northeast Animal Rescue. The cat was found on the streets after being hit by a car. He is friendly and loving. Due to his injury, he requires a special diet. Herbie is up to date on shots and neutered, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.

Anyone interested in adopting Herbie can visit the Northeast Animal Rescue, located inside the PetSmart at 11000 Roosevelt Blvd., or fill out an application at nar.rescuegroups.org. ••

Shaunie’s a looker

Shaunie, a medium-sized female pit bull/boxer mix, is between 1 and 2 years old and weighs 48 pounds. She did great in her behavior evaluation and was friendly with every dog she’s met. She doesn’t show interest in cats and could probably live with them. E-mail erin.pawsadoptions@gmail.com or visit ACCT at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave., for more information. ••
