Rose wants to be picked

Rose is a pretty 1-year-old calico cat with emerald eyes.

The cat was dumped out into the cold and was taken in by a Forgotten Cats volunteer. A quiet home with no small kids would be ideal. She is uncertain with dogs, but other cats are welcomed into her life.

Rose is spayed and vaccinated, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.

Forgotten Cats provides sterilization assistance for homeless felines. Apply at www.petfinder.com/shelters/PA586.html or at the adoption center in PetSmart at 901 Old York Road in Abington. ••

Dante wants to play

Dante is a very handsome and very wiggly 1-to-2-year-old pit bull mix who loves to play and be petted.

The dog loves toys and playing. He can be pushy with other dogs, so he’d need to meet them before being adopted. He’d do best in a home without children under 6, and all kids should meet him before their family takes him home.

Dante is being housed at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. His adoption fee will include his neuter surgery, micro-chip and up-to-date vaccinations.

Anyone interested in adopting Dante can e-mail cytherea2@msn.com ••
