Vehicle owners feel deflated

Detectives in the Northeast are investigating the vandalism of more than a dozen cars in Oxford Circle last Thursday morning.

Tires were slashed or punctured on 11 vehicles on the 1200 block of Hale St., in addition to single vehicles on the 6200 block of Frontenac St. and the 1200 block of McKinley St., according to Officer Jillian Russell, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.

Officers began taking reports of the vandalism at about 7:30 a.m. and believe it occurred during the previous night or earlier that morning.

The total damage was reported at $5,100, Russell said. Because of the high value of the damaged property, Northeast Detectives have taken up the investigation from the local patrol district.

No suspects have been identified in the case. ••
