Philly’s got Soul

The 2008 Arena Football League world champions, the Philadelphia Soul, celebrated their triumphant season with a parade in their honor on July 31. Thousands of Soul fans flocked to the streets of Philadelphia and proudly watched the victorious team march from Independence Hall to City Hall.
The Philadelphia Soul beat the defending champions, the San Jose Sabercats, 59-56 in ArenaBowl XXII on July 27 in New Orleans. The victory capped off a 16-3 season for the Soul and also marked the first championship title in the team’s five-year history.
