Man charged in
bank robberies

The FBI and Philadelphia Police Department last week arrested a man for his alleged involvement in two bank robberies.
The suspect, identified as Christopher Holder, is being investigated for his involvement in five other bank robberies.
The FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force and the Philadelphia Police Department’s major crimes and gun violence units, arrested Holder, 27, without incident at 6:20 a.m. on June 18 at his mother’s residence on the 3400 block of Barclay St. in East Falls.
Authorities were alerted to Holder by two individuals who had seen a picture of a bank surveillance photo in the Philadelphia Daily News.
Holder has a prior record, and law enforcement showed his mug shot to employees at one of the banks he is alleged to have robbed. They identified him as the person who committed the crime.
The suspect is charged with robbing banks in Roxborough and Center City earlier this month.
In addition, he is being looked at for his involvement in five other robberies — three in Chestnut Hill; one at Freedom Credit Union, 4900 Princeton Ave.; and one at Citizens Bank, 2401 Cottman Ave.
Holder is being held at the Federal Detention Center, at Seventh and Arch streets. ••
