Police are on the hunt
for Somerton rape suspect

Philadelphia police seek the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly broke into a Somerton apartment and raped a woman on Saturday morning.
The crime occurred at about 7:45 a.m. on the 10900 block of Bustleton Ave. The suspect and another man confronted the 26-year-old victim and her boyfriend as they exited the woman’s apartment. The invaders forced the couple inside and stuffed the boyfriend into a closet. One of the suspects then assaulted the woman sexually.
The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is white, 25 to 30 years old and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He has an athletic build. He wore a black jacket and dark jeans. No weapon was seen by the victims.
