In Lawncrest, health center
OK gets a delay

The Lawncrest Community Association is reserving judgment for now on a plan by Cardone Industries Inc. to bring a health center to its campus.
Cardone, which remanufactures automotive products, wants to build a structure that would be located at 5600 Tabor Road, near Allengrove Street.
Company officials attended last week’s LCA meeting and explained that the center would treat employees. It would be staffed by a doctor and a nurse practitioner supplied by Holy Redeemer Health System.
The civic association will continue to discuss the matter before deciding whether to support the zoning change necessary for the company to build.
Meanwhile, the association approved the opening of a beauty shop at 537 Sanger St. (at Colgate Street) in the site of a former corner store. The shop owner will appear in front of the Zoning Board of Adjustment on March 26.
