Eagle Scout hopeful
is seeking donations
Dan Burgmann, a Life Scout with Troop 246, is working toward the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a Northeast Philadelphia resident and a senior at Roman Catholic High School. He has been a scout since the first grade and is hoping to take the final step to achieve the highest rank in scouting.
Toward this goal, Burgmann is collecting items for donation to Trevors Place, a homeless shelter for women and children. Requested items will supply these women and children with the everyday necessities that many of us take for granted.
Donated items can be dropped off at the 8th Police District headquarters at Academy and Red Lion roads, or the 15th Police District headquarters at Harbison Avenue and Levick Street. Collection boxes will be placed at each location.
Requested items include toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, mouthwash, shampoo, hair conditioner, tissues, bathroom tissue, combs, hair brushes, dental floss, twin bed sheets, blankets, pillows, diapers, baby formula, baby food and T-shirts sized 0 to 4.
