Pizza driver loses dough
to gun-toting robbers
Police are looking for two teenagers who robbed a pizza delivery man last week in Castor Gardens.
According to Northeast Detectives, the robbery took place shortly after 8 p.m. on Dec. 27.
A 28-year-old male driver was making a delivery for Little Nickys Grill & Pizza, at 1940 Cottman Ave., to a home on the 7200 block of Souder St.
When the driver exited the vehicle, he was confronted by two males with guns. They stole $700 and his cell phone before running from the scene. The victim was not hurt.
The suspects are both black males ages 17 to 19. They were wearing black scarves over their faces. One is 6-feet tall, weighs 160 pounds and wore a beige jacket. The other is 5-feet-8 and weighs 200 pounds.
Police believe the order was likely called in by the suspects to a random address on Souder Street, and that they planned to rob the driver.
