Civic groups
are ready to meet

A number of local civic associations will be holding their first meetings of the year in January.
The Burholme Community Town Watch and Civic Association will meet on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m., at United Methodist Church of the Redeemer, at Cottman and Lawndale avenues. The guest will be Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers, who will discuss fire safety. To join the Town Watch, call 215-722-4901.
The Frankford Civic Association will also meet on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m., at Frankford Hospital’s second floor conference room, at Frankford Avenue and Wakeling Street.
The Lawncrest Community Association will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m., at St. William parish hall, at Argyle and Robbins streets.
The Northwood Civic Association will also meet on Jan. 15 at 7 p.m., at St. James Lutheran Church, at Castor Avenue and Pratt Street.
The Greater Bustleton Civic League will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m., at the American Heritage Federal Credit Union, at 2060 Red Lion Road.
