Police look for suspects
in fatal shootings of two
A 45-year-old man and 16-year-old boy from Lower Northeast Philadelphia died in separate street-corner shootings less than two hours apart on Oct. 24. Both killings remained unsolved as the Times went to press.
The first fatal gunfire occurred at 9:19 p.m. on the 5200 block of Pennway St. in Feltonville, according to Officer Raul Malveiro, a Philadelphia police spokesman.
Alfred Beauchamp, 45, a resident of the same block, was shot once in the abdomen outside of his house. He died shortly after 10 p.m. at Temple University Hospital.
At 11:07 p.m., Malveiro said, police were called to the 1900 block of Pratt St. in Frankford, where they found William McField, 16, of the 4700 block of Tackawanna St., lying in the street with a gunshot wound of the neck. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene minutes later.
Police do not know what motivated either shooting and have released no descriptions of the gunmen. Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call 215-686-3334.
