Normandy is
having a ball

Tickets are still available for Normandy Civic Association’s fall ball, which takes place Friday from 8 p.m. to midnight, at Cannstatter’s, located at 9130 Academy Road.
Tickets are $35, and proceeds from the basket option will go toward the family of an 11-year-old neighborhood girl who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Residents can call civic association president John Wisniewski at 215-673-9512 for more information.
At its Oct. 17 meeting, the group voted to support an application for a zoning variance involving the expansion of a detached garage on the 2900 block of Normandy Drive. The group also voted to support a resident who needs to legalize an existing carport on the 2800 block of Nestling Road. Plans are in the works for this year’s "Santa Comes to Normandy." Last year, the group had a Santa travel through the neighborhood in a flatbed pickup truck to hand out candy canes and play Christmas music for children. The group will have more details at its next meeting. ••
The next meeting is set for Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., at the Norcom Community Center, 10980 Norcom Road.
