Bank robber strikes Mayfair
PNC for the second time
Frederick Baynes has apparently struck again.
The suspected serial bank robber is believed to be responsible for Monday mornings robbery of the PNC Bank at 6855 Frankford Ave.
After entering the bank at about 10:45, he presented a demand note for money to a teller. He left with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries.
Baynes is suspected in eight other heists, including one at the same PNC bank branch on Oct. 1. He is also a suspect in the robberies of the Wachovia Bank branch at 9101 Roosevelt Blvd. on Sept. 18 and Sept. 28.
Baynes is black, 40 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 190 pounds.
The Delaware Valley Security Officers Group is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Baynes.
