Fund-raiser set for
murdered Tacony teen

Family and friends of Tacony murder victim Timothy Clark will host a beef-and-beer night on Oct. 5 to benefit a reward fund for the capture of the teenager’s killer.
The event will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Sheffield Tavern, 4501 Sheffield Ave.
The $25 admission will include a dinner buffet and DJ music. The benefit will also feature a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and raffles.
A $2,000 reward already has been posted by the family through the Citizens Crime Commission for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer.
Clark, 15, of the 6800 block of Vandike St., and Damien Holloway, 27, a friend who was staying with Clark’s family, were gunned down in the street, one block north of Clark’s home, at about 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 13.
The pair were walking home from a nearby convenience store, police said.
An unknown person or persons shot each victim once in the head. Clark died at the scene; Holloway died two days later in a local hospital.
Police are unsure of a motive in the case. Clark’s family believes he was an innocent bystander.
Police are seeking information from anyone who was in the area of 6900 Vandike St. at the time and may have seen suspects before or after the shooting.
Call 215-546-TIPS or 215-686-3334 to report information about the case.
