Man shot dead
in E. Frankford
A street-corner shooting in East Frankford claimed the life of an 18-year-old Germantown man early July 24.
Shots rang out on the 2100 block of Wakeling St., near Torresdale Avenue, at about 1:20 a.m., said Officer Yolanda Dawkins, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.
Nathaniel Lee Harrison, of the unit block of E. Armat St., was wounded once in the chest and once in the arm. Paramedics took him to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he died at 1:36 a.m.
As the Times went to press, police had named no suspects or motive for the shooting.
