Drugs seized from
Northeast home
Philadelphia police earlier this month raided a local apartment and arrested a man suspected of selling marijuana and cocaine throughout the Northeast.
Members of the Narcotics Field Unit 2 arrested Saheem Lovelace, 22, of the 9400 block of Wooden Bridge Road, at about 6:30 a.m. on May 9, according to Cpl. Mark Palma.
Inside Lovelaces residence and three cars, officers allegedly seized 840 grams of marijuana, 105 grams of cocaine, six grams of crack and 45 non-prescribed Percocet pills, along with $6,000 cash, a .38-caliber revolver and a 9 mm pistol.
Police also seized a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice, a 2002 Buick Century and a 2002 Ford Taurus.
According to Palma, complaints from neighbors about suspicious activity at the address tipped off authorities to Lovelaces possible drug ties. During the investigation, led by Officer Jeff Cujdik, police allegedly made drug buys from the suspect and watched him as he delivered drugs to locations around the Northeast.
"He would be very mobile with his sales in vehicles," Palma said.
Lovelace was charged with numerous drug and weapons offenses.
