Unrelated killings
claim two lives
Philadelphia police believe that a domestic dispute led to a Northeast Philadelphia murder last weekend, but they are still trying to determine the circumstances of a second local killing.
On Monday afternoon, homicide detectives were still trying to identify a man found dead that morning at the Fishers Glen Driving Range, on the 4700 block of Fishers Lane.
The man, described as black with a light complexion, had multiple shotgun wounds, police said. A jogger discovered the body at about 8 a.m. and notified the golf ranges management, who called 911.
Authorities have made an arrest in an earlier local killing.
According to police, Bin Wang, 33, of the 6000 block of Duffield St. shot and killed 25-year-old Xiangzhen Lin, at about 7:15 p.m. on Friday during an argument at their home.
Fire medics pronounced Lin dead at the scene. She was wounded once in the head.
Wang is charged with murder and is being held without bail. It is not known if Wang and Lin were related to each other, but they lived at the same address.
