7-Eleven robber
still on the loose

Philadelphia police are still seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a 7-Eleven store at 5259 Oxford Ave. (at Large Street), at gunpoint on the morning of April 16.
The man entered the store at about 2 a.m., pointed a gun at the lone attendant and made off with cash and cigarettes, police said. No one else was in the store at the time of the robbery.
Surveillance cameras filmed the man’s uncovered face in the store. The man initially wore a hood but was unable to enter through the store’s security door, which is typically locked during nighttime. After the man complied with the attendant’s instruction to remove his hood, the attendant buzzed him inside.
Police say the suspect is black, an older teenager or in his early 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 to 160 pounds. He has close-cropped hair and a mustache. He was wearing a black 3/4-length jacket with fur trim and black jeans.
