Teens stabbed
at carnival
Two men are facing charges for allegedly stabbing two teenagers Saturday night at a Wissinoming carnival.
The incident took place at 9:23 p.m. at Moss Playground, at Torresdale Avenue and Van Kirk Street.
According to Northeast Detectives, the individuals became involved in a dispute. A 16-year-old was stabbed in the right side, while a 19-year-old was stabbed in the right arm. Both were treated at Frankford Hospital-Frankford Campus, with the younger victim ultimately transferred to Frankford-Torresdale.
Police arrested Kyle Rice, 22, and Kenneth James, 23. Both gave the same address on the 5800 block of Erdrick St. They are charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, possessing an instrument of crime, conspiracy and recklessly endangering another person.
According to police, two other teenagers were stabbed in the incident, but no charges have been filed. A 14-year-old was stabbed in the right armpit, while a 16-year-old was stabbed in the back. Both were treated at Frankford-Frankford.
