Clarification . . .

An article in last week’s edition regarding a U.S. Recycling permit modification with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to increase the municipal waste it processes at the 6101 Tacony St. plant from 380 to 2,000 tons listed sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide emissions of Newman & Co.
U. S. Recycling is located on property that is owned by Newman & Co. It is a separate entity but is owned by the Newmans.
According to David Newman, the increased waste would be dumped from smaller trucks, reloaded into larger ones and sent out.
"We are not burning it, not processing it for reduction," he said.••
