Police investigate abduction
and assault of teen

A 14-year-old Frankford girl waiting for the 59 SEPTA bus on the 4700 block of Oxford Ave. was forced at gunpoint to walk three blocks to Overington Park, where she was sexually assaulted by her assailant on Monday morning.
The assault took place at about 6:45 a.m.
After the gunman left the area, the victim ran home and told her mother, according to police.
The suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 20 years of age, about 5-feet-9, with a thin build and a thin mustache.
He was wearing a blue and yellow jacket with a black hood, and dark gray Dickie-style pants.
A composite of the suspect was unavailable at press time.
Police provided few details of the incident.
Capt. Frank Bachmayer, commander of the 15th Police District, said additional patrols have been assigned to the area of Penn Street and Oxford Avenue, along with the 4600 block of Leiper St., for more of a visible police presence around the area. ••
