Family members of Port Richmond’s John Andrew Anderson were grieving while Enos Otto’s Oxford Circle neighbors were in shock last week over Otto’s alleged road-rage stabbing of Anderson on Jan. 31.
Anderson, 43, of the 2300 block of E. Clearfield St., died at 10:25 that night at Frankford Hospital’s Torresdale Campus, about a half-hour after fire department medics and police found his body in a wooded area of Wissinoming Park, near the 5900 block of Charles St.

Members of Philadelphia City Council have a priceless opportunity to pick up where Councilman Michael Nutter sadly left off last year.
Nutter had the most honorable of intentions in sponsoring a measure that would prohibit smoking in restaurants and bars in Philadelphia, but tragically and disgustingly, petty politics doomed his bill, mainly because of a spat between the mayor (John Street) and the man who would be mayor (Nutter).
