Officials from various city agencies have been to Jeanne Smiths home more times than she can count over the years.
The Somerton woman received the uninvited visits because some neighbors complained that the chickens, geese and other birds at her house are a nuisance.
The city never developed a strong case against Smith, and she prevailed in a major court battle back in 2000.
"I was never cited for anything," she said.

The citys mistreatment of Jeanne Smith, the chicken lady from Somerton, is atrocious, patently unfair and discriminatory. The poor lady loves chickens. Whats wrong with that? Shes not breaking any laws.
