Police believe domestic
tiff led to man’s slaying

Philadelphia police homicide investigators believe that a domestic dispute led to the fatal shooting of a man in a Holmesburg day-care facility late Monday night.
Officers were called to 7425 Frankford Ave. at 11:58 p.m. in response to a police radio report of a person with a gun, said Inspector Jim Boyle, commander of the homicide division.
Upon arrival, they discovered a shooting victim lying on the first floor of the property with a wound to the chest. He was identified as Anthony Grauber, 38, of the 8000 block of Rowland Ave.
City medics transported Grauber to Frankford Hospital’s Torresdale Campus. He was pronounced dead at 12:39 a.m.
According to Boyle, police arrested the victim’s wife, Karen Grauber, at the scene of the shooting and recovered a handgun.
The Graubers may have been the proprietors of the day-care facility, Boyle said. No specific information was available about the nature of their dispute. ••
