Woodhaven meeting is set

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will conduct the next public meeting on the much-debated Woodhaven Road Project on Tuesday, March 23, at George Washington High School, Bustleton Avenue and Verree Road.
From 6 to 9 p.m., members of PennDOT’s project team will be available in the school auditorium to explain alternatives for the project, including the new Reduced Impact Alternative, to interested local residents.
Project team members will use drawings, photos and other visual aids and will respond to questions.
At 7 p.m., there will be a formal presentation in the Washington High auditorium during which transportation officials will review upcoming phases of the project.
Under the current version of the decades-old initiative, PennDOT is evaluating alternatives to improve travel through the area that includes the existing Woodhaven Road Expressway (State Route 63) as well as a series of tributary roads in the three affected counties.
